Ortegaz Grill brings some much-needed cultural spice to Downtown Manteo. The atmosphere is colorful and casual, and the
restaurant gets a little more dressed up for dinner. In warm weather you can
dine outside on the patio.
The
house-made specialties of this Southwestern-inspired restaurant are—
- slow-roasted chicken,
beef and pork, served in burritos, chimchangas,
nachos and other
Tex-Mex–style dishes
- grilled Margarita
shrimp with pineapple salsa
- stuffed jalapenos
- Southwestern-encrusted
sirloin, a full rack of barbecued ribs, lamb shank
applewood-smoked pork
chops
- build-your-own kabobs
- seafood
- homemade
cheesecakes, flan and churros (apple-filled pastries drizzled with caramel
icing)
Ortegaz serves beer and wine, with a wine list dedicated to the
regions where the owners grew up – Northern California and Chile. All wines
are available by the glass.
