Portrait of Patsy Cline, starring the incomparable Laura Martier, is an original musical play that features benchmarks of Cline’s life and career and more than 30 of her songs. Now in its second season, the Elizabeth R and Company production has garnered rave reviews for its innovative approach, the precision of the band and the jaw-dropping renditions of Cline’s famous songs by the incredibly talented Martier who channels the persona and vocal style of Cline herself. Martier is accompanied by the Tumbling Humble Weeds comprised of: Joe Mapp, guitar; Skip Hancock, keyboard; Dan Martier, drums; Charlie Austin, fiddle; and Bill Rea, bass. Performances take place at the Hilton Gardens Inn in Kitty Hawk beginning Wednesday, July 2 and continuing every Wednesday evening through August 13. The show begins at 8 p.m. (seating opens at 7:30 p.m.) and runs an hour and a half, with a 20-minute intermission.
